THE COLLECTION
CURATED
For the exhibition, I’ve curated 10 physical pieces specifically created to be viewed in a gallery context. These curated artworks were generated at distinct moments during my creative exploration, capturing particular algorithm states, visual states or experiments.
In addition to the landscape-oriented pieces that define the final long form algorithm, you’ll also find vertical (portrait) compositions among the curated works. These portraits reference traditional vertical Japanese scroll paintings called kakemono, exploring a different visual narrative. They add a layer of complexity to the overall series by playing between cityscape and natural landscapes, challenging your perception and inviting contemplation. For me, this contrast is intriguing—it blurs boundaries, inviting you to question exactly what you're seeing, navigating between urban and natural spaces.
All the pieces of the curated collection are printed on watercolor paper 310g, and then drawn upon with dry pastel and oil pastels.
THE COLLECTION
DIGITAL
In parallel of the curated editions will live 80 digital pieces, randomly generated at the mint moments.
Each pieces will have a main palette, that will define the artwork; and will be composed of 3 secondary ones, that will switch overtime, through an animation.
BEHIND THE SCENES
INSPIRATIONS
This collection has been inspired by the 4 years and more I spent in Japan, traveling in rural areas and in the middle of nature; discovering recluded temples, staying in traditional ryokans...
Where you can genuinely focus on self-care.
Today, whenever I’m faced with complicated moments or need to figure out a solution, I mentally revisit my time in those ryokans. It’s become a kind of escape for me, a place where I find peace. It also brings up a lot of nostalgia from my experiences there.
These places have a unique kind of architecture: minimalistic yet carefully constructed. I've decided to use that as the foundation for Moments. My starting point was the Japanese Shoji doors, constructed from wooden frames and washi paper. They became the structural basis for my artwork, where each block acts as a window into a memory, a window into a particular moment or passage of time.
