Scents of Summer
(Parfums d'Été)

Exhibited in Paris the 6, 7, 8 July 2023

With this exhibition, I invite the viewer on a sensory journey, at the intersection of art and memory.

This series is an ode to summer, a season that conjures warmth, freedom, and flourishing.
Each piece is a sketch of my summer memories, from discovering quaint and secluded villages in Japan, such as Shirakawa-go, to more intimate recollections from my childhood. The palette of vibrant colors, the daring composition, and the dynamic texture of the works capture the feelings of an unforgettable summer, bringing a burst of warmth, light, and life.
'Scents of Summer' offers an artistic reflection on the cycle of life, where each canvas is a page from my travel diary, infused with the essence of an indelible summer.

In my creative process, code is the starting point: producing striking visuals that, once printed, receive a manual touch-up. This dialogue between the precision of the code and the unpredictability of human gesture brings unique artworks to life.

"I paint with code," I explain, "this exhibition celebrates this process, highlighting how an algorithm can morph into tangible and authentic art. It's about blurring traditional boundaries and challenging preconceptions."

Through my work, I demonstrate that art and technology aren't separate realms, but can coexist, interact, and enrich each other in surprising ways. By adding a human touch to computer-generated visuals, I bridge the digital world with the physical.
